Our New Space is Almost Open!

Our New Space is Almost Open

We are so excited to finally be able to share our new space with you!

This has been a dream of Dr. Salathe’s since she was a student and it has been years in the making. At the end of December, 2017 we were able to start moving into the new building. We officially saw our first day of patients on December 28th. We have heard a lot of positive feedback on the feel and design of the space. You might be wondering how it all came to be.

Dr. Salathe envisioned a dental space that felt like home to our patients.

We want you to feel welcomed, comfortable and at ease in our office. When you walk in the front door you’re greeted by a smiling face, comfortable chairs, a coffee bar and a fun children’s area (Tooth Fairy Land- you’ll read more about that in another posting soon!). You’ll also get to read our vision and mission statements- Love, Health and Connection are our core values at The Dentist off Main.

Ground Breaking Party

Beautiful, welcoming atmosphere

When you see the design elements you might think Joanna Gaines was here! Dr. Salathe worked with Nicole Snell of Walen Construction to create the atmosphere she desired. From the comfortable (and beautiful!) waiting room to the personalized wall of photos in her office, you will see how much thought Dr. Salathe and Nicole put into each room in the office. Our spacious patient restroom even has a changing table for those with little ones.

Comfortable equipment and chairs

Our clinical operatories are outfitted with Adec equipment, cabinets and chairs. Adec is one of the top dental equipment manufacturers in the world and they are local to Oregon, their home office and showroom is in Newberg. We wanted to make sure our clinical areas are comfortable for both the patient and clinician. Each room is spacious, flooded with natural light through large windows and equipped with televisions where you can choose what to watch on various video on demand services. We also have an extra-large surgical suite with barn doors for extraction or sedation cases.

Locally Sourced From the Ground Up

Locally-sourced whenever possible

We tried to use as many local companies during the build as we could. Dave Wales, the owner of Walen Construction, and Ben Collins, the project lead, are both local to the Molalla/Colton area. Roseburg Forest Products provided the lumber for the building. Scott Salathe, Dr. Salathe’s husband, and Rex Dodge (Janet, our billing/insurance coordinator’s husband) worked on the landscape design and implementation. We also used local Molalla companies Molalla Redi Mix and Withers Lumber.
